The afternoon will be interactive and captivating. http://awakeningthedreamer.org/content/view/115/135/  The Video created by ATD features leaders from around the world discussing how we (humans) came to be both brilliant beings and over-consumers of limited resources on this planet, and how to remedy this imbalance.

Guest speakers will include Dr. Mairi Pileggi, Dept. Head, Women and Gender Studies, Dominican Univ. of California; Noreen O'Neill, Executive Director of Marin Women's Hall of Fame; and Katiyana Williams, Chair of California Colleges Coalition for a Sustainable California; and ATD Facilitator and Event Producer, Sandra Rubay Turner, PhD.

The ATD Youth Initiative brings those individuals who have been charged with this present and future work into awareness and into ACTION.  Joshua Gorman, from the ATD Youth Initiative will be your facilitator.

This event is also a fundraiser for the M.I.S.S. program of Marin Women's Hall of Fame

Proceeds from this event will go directly to the M.I.S.S. Program (Mentoring + Internship + Service = Scholarship) launched in January 2009 a program to empower teenage girls. These young women are also offered opportunities to meet and intern with Honorees from the Marin Women's Hall of Fame and other community leaders.   http://www.marinwomenshalloffame.org/programs/the-m.i.s.s.-program.html
